Currently there are well over 100 programs that will reward you with cash for displaying some type of advertising or visiting sites while you are online. As with any industry, there are good and bad programs out there. I've visited a lot of sites promoting these "get paid to surf programs" and most of them are just people slapping together a page of banners for the programs and adding no information about the programs. They leave it to you to search through all the FAQ's and legal mumbo jumbo to figure out the rules of the program. The purpose of these page is to provide: 1) an index to ALL of the get paid to surf programs 2) a COMPLETE look at the main points of each of the top 20 programs. 3) an HONEST evaluation of each program. 4) a source for all the newest programs. Signing up early is THE key to developing a large downline so check back here often to find out about the newest programs first. I'm sure that many people are skeptical of these types of programs. I was hesitant to get involved with these programs too. Now, I regret not getting involved earlier when there was a HUGE opportunity to develop larger downlines of members for even more money. Please, if you decide to join any of these programs use my ID as your referrer. It won't cost you anything and it will help me to keep this page on the cutting edge of the newest and best paid to surf programs on the web. Claiming me as your referral will also entitle you to free special tips from me on maximizing your earnings and minimizing the effort. Also, sign up for my mailing list to be informed of all the latest news and new programs that launch. Thanks! |

Common Questions/Answers |
|
What exactly are these ad bars? Ad bars are simply software that display standard advertising banners you can generally move them anywhere you wish on your desktop. Just run them while you surf, it's as easy as that. Here are a couple of pictures of ad bars. How do I know that these companies will actually pay me when the time comes? The most common source of skepticism is payment. Well, the industry is relatively new and most of the programs are just starting up or about to start. However, many companies have issued payments to members already. Here are some scanned images of checks received from 4 get paid to surf companies: (Thanks to Ron and Jim for use of the checks) More importantly, I am not aware of any company on any of my pages that has failed to pay it's members. These are totally legitimate businesses. Every program is absolutely 100% free to join and you may cancel your membership at any time if you are ever dissatisfied for any reason. What happens to the information I submit? Will I be put on a bunch of mailing lists? All sites contained on these pages explicitly state that your specific personal information will not be sold to anyone. Every site also utilizes secure servers for the sign up process. I have not received a single piece of mail that I can attribute to a mailing list as a result of signing up for one of these programs and I have signed up for almost every site on these pages. If you are still concerned about maintaining your privacy then you could alter your personal information when you sign up. Of course I am not condoning this type of practice because providing false information while signing up violates the membership agreements of the programs. But, hypothetically ¡¦ All of the sites provide the ability to edit your personal information after you sign up (in case you move or change e-mail accounts etc.). Sign up using an incorrect home address or telephone number (which is sometimes required). Once you try the program and see that it is legitimate and it is time to be paid, correct your personal information so your money can be sent to the right place. You MUST submit a valid e-mail address and it may be hard to explain a change in your name although I have noticed that it can be done at some sites. If you don¡¯t want to give out your primary e-mail address to strangers then sign up with one of the many free e-mail account companies on the web. I recommend TheMail, an excellent mail server that will pay you for using it. Then, use this new e-mail address when you sign up. In general, you will receive a message from the program to confirm registration and maybe an administrative letter monthly updating you on the latest news and information on the company but that is all. You NEVER have to give credit card information. A few cash for mail programs require US residents to submit a Social Security Number (for tax purposes). These sites do have secure server sign ups but it is up to you whether you want to release that information. In my links, I specify programs that require SSN¡¯s. Why would anyone pay me so much to run an advertisement on my desktop? The main attraction for advertisers to these programs is the fact that they know you will be exposed to their ad. An advertiser runs an ad in a newspaper or magazine and you might glance at it for one second and then flip the page. With one of these ad banners, an advertiser knows that you will be exposed to their ad for a specific period of time (say 30 seconds) and you are a captive audience to their message. I must admit that I do glance at the ads while I¡¯m waiting for a web page to load and many credible companies are participating. If these programs weren¡¯t 100% legitimate I don¡¯t think companies like Microsoft, Amazon.com and VISA would risk their reputations by participating. Big deal! A few cents an hour, that's not worth the effort. First of all, 2 minutes to sign up and running an ad banner on a part of the screen that you don¡¯t use isn¡¯t much effort is it? Second, even with no referrals, utilizing one of the get paid to surf programs will pay for your internet access costs. But, if you can scrounge up a few referrals for a few programs and form a modest size network for each you can make some very respectable money. $100/month? $200/month? $1000/month? Who knows, you are the only one that can limit your earning potential. As evidenced by the AllAdvantage check above, $800/month is attainable (with some hard work). That's over $30/hour to surf and almost $10,000/year from just one program for just running their ad banner while you surf! I'm not online that much so it really isn't worthwhile for me to get paid to surf. First, you can run multiple programs at the same time and you can double, triple or even quadruple the rate at which you earn money. With newer computers and large monitors, some people run 7 or 8 programs at a time. It's all up to you. With no referrals, you can make $2-3 an hour while you surf. Second, if you have the ability to generate referrals then many programs don't require you to actually use it to get paid for your referrals surfing time. You can make money without ever even touching your computer. Name me as your referral when you join and
I will be glad to help you figure out the best way for you to maximize the $$$
you make. Remember, I get nothing for signing you up, I only get money when you
get money so I want you to maximize your earnings too! If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to email me at the link at the bottom of this page. |

Tips and Tricks |

Here are a few tips/tricks that I have learned in my experiences with getting paid to surf Tips on joining paid to surf programs 1) Take the time to select the best program(s) for your particular surfing habits. How many hours/month will you be online? Will you be surfing or using other applications (email, chatting, games)? How many referrals do you expect to be able to get? 2) Don't use the same username/password combination for several programs. If someone happens to get your username and password for a program then any other program with the same combination may also be in danger of being stolen. Tips to maximize the size of your desktop 1) Set your monitor to the highest resolution possible. This will shrink the relative size of the adbars and give you a larger area for your browser window. If the text becomes too small then you can increase the size of the text through the menu of Internet Explorer (View -> Text Size). 2) Hide some of the menu bars on the top of your browser window. The standard tool bar of Internet Explorer takes up almost as much room as an ad bar but you don't get paid for it! All the browser commands can easily be accessed with your mouse or keyboard. 3) Similarly, the Windows task bar can be set to autohide (Start Button -> Settings -> Taskbar -> checkmark Autohide), then the task bar will disappear but can be accessed by moving your mouse over the bottom of the screen to save a little more screen area. Tips to gain referrals 1) The best way to start building referrals is through friends and family. If they are actively online, mention that you are making money while you surf and explain how they can do it too. The first few referrals are the most difficult but once you get them then you have several people that can help build your referral base instead of just you alone. 2) There are now many, many sites on the internet dedicated to helping people gain referrals for paid to surf programs. There are 2 basic formats a Downline Builder and a Forced Matrix. I highly recommend that you avoid any program that is a forced matrix. Usually they are termed a 5x5 matrix. What this means is that each person that signs up will have 5 future members that join placed under them as direct referrals, each of those 5 will have 5 more join under them and so on.. On the face of it this sounds great, but look at what a completed 5x5 matrix Now if you are the fortunate one in level 1 then you get 3880 referrals (assuming the matrix is completed). The top 2 or 3 levels are generally reserved for the program founder and their associates. The result is that 3125 out of 3881 members (over 80%) will be on level 5 with no referrals. Now the program can continue on to level 6 (15625 more members) and level 7 (78125 more members) but no program that I am aware of has come anywhere close to these levels of membership. Regardless of how many levels the matrix achieves, the vast majority of members will have zero referrals. In basic terms, the maximum amount of money by a group as a whole will be made when they sign up in a single line, one after another. The wider the referral structure gets the less optimal it becomes for the group as a whole. The second type of referral building program is a far better option. The downline builder programs. They all basically work the same way, you join and a web page is created for you. You just enter your own personal referral ID's for the paid to surf programs. Visitors to the program website are directed to one of the member pages where they have an opportunity to sign up for the programs using your referral links. You can also promote your personal web page yourself and drive traffic to your personal web page. The best downline builder programs are : |
